| This site is dedicated to the memory of Alan
Rough. Alan was instrumental in getting this group off the ground back in 1995. Alan was
tragically killed in December 1995 in a motor accident. Alan was one of the finest
modellers ever to come out of New Zealand. He won countless awards at model shows up and
down the country and often walked away with best of show trophies for his fine models. His
work has also been featured in the Verlinden Magazine. Alan made models primarily for his
own pleasure and in doing so developed a distinctive style. He built great looking
armour models and produced some striking diorama's. His large scale figures were works of
art. Above all Alan was a down to earth character. His skill and expertise were always
made freely available to those who sought his advice and assistance. Alan always got great
enjoyment from modelling and we see that as the ultimate goal for all those who love this
