About AMPS New Zealand
AMPS New Zealand was formed from the Auckland Armour Modelling Group. The group was formed to provide an opportunity for armour modellers and enthusiasts from to get together with like minded people. The organisation is based in Auckland, New Zealand. We are an informal group who hold regular monthly meetings where all are welcome. We aim to provide a forum where ideas, information and techniques are exchanged for the benefit of all concerned. The decision to form AMPS New Zealand came about due to the growth of  our group and a desire to establish a clear identity. We chose to affiliate with AMPS because the no nonsense AMPS philosphy mirrors our own.

Meetings
Our normal procedure is to hold a meeting on the second Tuesday of each month. Meetings generally kick off at about 7.30 pm. Currently we meet at the Birkenhead RSA, see meetings page for more detail. Attendees are encouraged to bring models both finished and unfinished to our meetings. Some people attend our meetings just for a chat while others use them as an opportunity to sit down and do some modelling. We sometimes provide some interesting diversions from our standard meeting format. These include things like visits to inspect preserved AFV's .

Meeting notices
We have a monthly news sheet that is posted via snail mail to people who have no internet access. Group members who have internet connections may be notified of meeting dates and times via email. The most up to date news is held on this site on the  Meetings page
