This page features photos of a German 8 ton halftrack that is undergoing restoration.  All photos by Ian Sadler.

The following details were kindly supplied by Rudi Schoeters who noted that out original description of the vehicle as a 12 ton half track was in fact incorrect.

The half track in restoration is those of a SdKfz 7 an 8 ton Zugmaschine produced by Borgward (licence of Kraus Maffei) ..I happen to know the owner/restorer and he told me it will be restored as a regular zugmaschine with pioneer aufbau.....most likely in the annual Beltring show of 2000 it will run in the arena (the bodywork will be completed in a later stadium)
